Rachel Ford
Founder, Once Upon a PE LEsson When working as a HoD PE, Rachel designed and implemented a concept-based PE curriculum for grades 1-6. Rachel has since moved to a new school where she teaches PYP Personal, Social and Physical Education. She has transferred the concept-based curriculum, ensuring it meets the IB framework.

Rachel Ford is currently a PYP Personal, Social and Physical Education Teacher at an international school in Hangzhou, China.
After Qualifying as a Secondary PE Teacher in Sheffield, England, Rachel moved to Malaysia in o begin her career in International Education. Rachel spent four years teaching PE in Malaysia before moving to China in 2015.
Teaching PE internationally has seen Rachel work within the role of HoD PE. During her time as a HoD she successfully planned and implemented a concept-based PE curriculum for primary PE. After researching and experimenting with different teaching styles Rachel founded ‘Once Upon a PE Lesson’ which focuses on concept-based learning as well as the use of storytelling in PE to unite the teaching of movement and language. Rachel has presented numerous webinars based on these topics.
